The role
Nextkey Data Access Architecture team is responsible for data access control to all online Nextkey data, managing data schema in code for attribution and governing, layout foundation for modernized data tracking, deletion, retention, and linkage. We are building an Infrastructure as Code experience for all data models and storage systems and help automate the development and deployment process by providing frameworks and systems based on metadata and schema.
We are looking for motivated individuals interested in complex engineering challenges around one of the most important aspects of Nextkey. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of Mobile Engineers, Frontend Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.

Who you are
You are experienced. You have deep expertise in building, deploying, monitoring and scaling systems on AWS or GCP. You understand the ins and outs of Python, Postgres, Redis and more. You can quickly architect elegant data pipelines and recommendation engines. While you love learning new technologies, this is not an area where you need to ramp up.
You care about good product design. You have an eye for good design and pixel perfection. You like thinking about user psychology and sharing little-known products with your friends. You want to build experiences that users love and that make people’s lives more meaningful.
Your bias towards action. You like to build and ship - favouring practical choices, speed and respect for sequencing. You focus on the things that matter and push back on things that don’t. You make deadlines for yourself and you move fast.
You’re scrappy and entrepreneurial. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with not knowing the answer to something. You are willing to roll up your sleeves no matter what the challenge is.

What you will do
You’ll ship product. As part of the Nextkey team, you will move fast. Whether it’s pushing a bug fix immediately after seeing it or architecting a bigger change that will help Nextkey scale to millions of users, you’ll constantly be building and shipping. Along the way, you’ll write clean and efficient code, unit tests, follow best practices, improve our infrastructure and tooling and have the benefit of working with others who share your enthusiasm.
